Professor Astuto currently teaches the Organizational Theory I and II courses. She is currently working on a book, Practical Magic: Reconnecting Theory and Practice for School Improvement, and her interests include exploring alternative ways of thinking about school organizations so that they are productive and reinforcing for all the people in th em, including teachers, administrators, students, families, and communities. She has been impressed with "the energy and commitment of our students - who do a million things, all at once, with great competence, and an authentic sense of responsibility for schools."
