Marilynn Gelfman Karp is a Professor of Art at New York University and a sculptor whose works are represented internationally. She is an avid observer of material culture and a relentless collector. She is Director of the 80 Washington Square East Galleries, Broadway Windows, Washington Square Windows and Kimball Hall Lounge exhibitions. She works with Ph.D. students on many subjects within the field of Visual Culture. As a Studio faculty member she works with all the young artist M.A. and M.F.A. degree candidates toward their graduation exhibitions and assists each in the preparation and presentation of their material artist persona (portfolio, resume and career counselling) to the art world-at-large.
