NYU ID Card
All employees and affiliates can obtain a new or replacement NYU ID card by visiting the Card Center locations at 7 Washington Place in Manhattan, 2 MetroTech in Brooklyn, or at the Department of Public Safety offices located in Abu Dhabi or Shanghai. Employees or affiliates at a study away site should consult with their Global Academic Center coordinator to obtain a replacement card.
Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately to the NYUCard Center by calling (212) 443-2273 and selecting option 1, or by visiting the Public Safety Command Center, located on the ground floor of 7 Washington Place. Replacement cards may be obtained at the Command Center 24-hours/day, 7 days/week. There is a $25 fee to replace your NYUCard. Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, the Card Center staff can assist you by generating replacement ID cards. After the Card Center closes at 5:00pm, the Command Center’s security staff will continue to assist you by generating replacement ID cards. During business hours, the lost card fee may be paid via cash or Campus Cash; after business hours, only cash payments will be accepted. If your card is stolen and you obtain a police report (or incident information slip) indicating that your card has been reported stolen (and not simply "lost"), the fee can be waived. The police report must be presented at the time that the new card is issued in order to be considered for a fee waiver.
