Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy
Dr. John Sutera is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at New York University. He received his BA in Economics from Binghamton University, his BS/MS in Physical Therapy from CUNY-College of Staten Island and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stony Brook University. Dr. Sutera also received his certification in Vestibular Rehabilitation from Emory University.
Dr. Sutera brings close to 20 years of experience to the program from various clinical settings, including inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, neurologic, geriatric and vestibular rehabilitation. He has worked at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York Eye & Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai as well having the pleasure of adjunct teaching in NYU’s physical therapy program prior to his appointment.
Dr. Sutera has recently been published on the use of clinical examination in assessing balance and dizziness in patients with traumatic brain injury.
