Clinical Assistant Professor of Teaching and Learning
Beth McDonald is currently involved with the pre-service program in Teaching and Learning, where her primary responsibilities are as an instructor and Co-Coordinator of the Inquiries into Teaching and Learning Program. She also serves as a field supervisor for student teachers at the elementary level. For several years, Beth and other colleagues ran the Early Career Project until foundation funding ceased. The program was designed to provide face-to-face support and networking for NYU's recent graduates moving into their first teaching positions. Before coming to NYU, Beth served as an elementary school teacher and principal, and as a staff developer and program evaluator for the Rhode Island Department of Education.
