Bridget L Wardley, MS, RDN, CSP, is a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) with board certification in pediatrics (CSP). She received her undergraduate degree from Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK and her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University.
Courses taught at NYU: Nutritional Biochemistry (UG); Pediatric Nutrition (G); Advanced seminars: Genetics in Pediatric Nutrition and the Ketogenic Diet in Epilepsy (G).
Bridget is a nutritionist and registered dietitian (USA and UK) with expertise in pediatric nutrition. Her areas of interest include nutrition support in genetic metabolic disorders/inborn errors of metabolism, the ketogenic diet and other dietary therapies for epilepsy and complex neurological disorders. She has extensive experience in clinical pediatrics in both hospital and community settings in the USA and UK, as well as experience in the medical food industry and university teaching. Bridget has published several books including two editions of Handbook of Child Nutrition (Oxford University Press); The Big Book of Recipes for Babies and Toddlers (Duncain Baird Publishing, London) and a chapter on infant nutrition in Manual of Dietetic Practice 4th ed.( Blackwell Publishing, Oxford). She has co-authored articles in journals such as Molecular Genetics and Metabolism and Archives of Disease in Childhood. She is currently a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), the AND Pediatric Nutrition Practice Group and Genetic Metabolic Dietitians International (GMDI). She is currently co-chair of the GMDI education conference planning committee.
Most recently Bridget was Manager of Clinical Sciences at Vitaflo USA, a Nestlé Health Science Company and also held a position as Adjunct Professor at New York University. Prior to that, she held positons as: Director of Nutrition at Applied Nutrition Corp. NJ; Pediatric Nutritionist at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/ UMDNJ; Adjunct Professor UMDNJ; Chief Pediatric Dietitian at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, UK; Senior Pediatric and Neonatal Nutritionist at Kings College Hospital, London, UK; Senior Community Pediatric Dietitian, Bromley Community Trust, UK.
