About this Event
Born in Stanford, California, Nina Katchadourian’s extensive academic background includes a BA in visual art and literature and society from Brown Univeristy, and MFA from UC San Diego, and the Independent Study Program and the Whitney Museum. Her work explores language, translation, lineage and the interaction between humans and the natural world (www.cclarkgallery.com). Her discerning and fresh viewpoint comes across in her varied styles and media. From tadpoles circulating a chicken egg in a water-filled bowl, titled Artificial Insemination, to presenting physically reconfigured maps. Her work has been included in publications including The New York Times, Artnews, The Art Review, Time Out New York, to name a few, and her works have been internationally exhibited.
