35 West 4th St.

Prepare one song. There will be some sight reading and pitch matching and
improvisation for those auditioning for jazz choir.

Choral Arts Society - E.85.1085.001
The Choral Arts Society is the largest classical choral ensemble at New York
University. For 130 years the Choral Arts Society has served the entire NYU
community performing major works from the choral/orchestral repertoire. The
Choral Arts Society at NYU offers singers an in-depth performance
experience of large-scale choral works with special emphasis on works from the 19th and 20th centuries.

University Singers - E.85.1085.002
The most elite of the classically oriented choirs at NYU, this ensemble is
devoted to chamber repertoire from all periods. Enrollment is limited to 32
singers. The audition process includes performance of a solo song, language
proficiency, tonal memory and sight-reading.

Womens Choir - E.85.1085.003
An ensemble of 60 voices devoted to the highest quality literature in a wide
variety of musical styles. Auditions consist of a solo song, vocalization and
tonal memory exercises.

Jazz Choir - E.85.1085.004 (Vocal Jazz Ensemble)
An ensemble of 20 vocalists. Repertoire is of high quality and is chosen to

joy of a capella ensemble singing. Challenging repertoire includes music from
Renaissance to Rock and all things in between. The audition process
consists of performance of a solo song, tonal memory and sightreading.
