Erin Embry serves as a clinical supervisor, instructor, and primary academic advisor for graduate students in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. As a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and licensed New York State speech-language pathologist, she has devoted her clinical career to working with adults who have acquired brain injuries. Her principal area of interest is neurogenic communication disorders with primary focus in dysphagia. She holds membership the Special Interest Divisions of Neurophysiology and Neurogenic Speech and Language Disorders and Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders and has contributed to a clinical textbook devoted to rehabilitation of impairments associated with brain tumors and cancer. She has worked privately, in major hospitals and rehabilitation institutes, and in corporate and legal settings. She received her B.S. in Communication Disorders at Western Kentucky University and M.S. in Communication Disorders at the College of Saint Rose.
