  • Description: Physiological & pathophysiological principles for understanding the response of the human body to exercise. The musculoskeletal, pulmonary, cardiovascular & metabolic responses to exercise & their implications in physical therapy intervention will be explored. The effects of aging, nutrition & environmental stress on the body?s performance will be discussed. Human energy expenditures, body composition & effects of training are presented in lectures & are coordinated with laboratory demonstration & experiences
