  • Description: This seminar, open to doctoral students across the University, explores a particular topic related to the overall study of how race has historically mattered & continues to matter in American schooling: the "achievement gap" or the performance differential among racial groups on standardized tests & other educational measures. This seminar will focus on questions of why such differentials may exist, & what can be done to eliminate them.
