  • Description: Introduction to the basic tools of applied statistics, using the latest version of SPSS as a platform to achieve a hands-on experience with real data. Topics include both descriptive (measures of location, variability, correlation, & simple regression) & inferential (probability, central limit theorem, sampling distributions, hypothesis tests, & confidence intervals) statistics. The course is not appropriate for students seeking to learn the mathematical underpinnings of these techniques.
