  • Description: The class will introduce students to the key concepts & concerns animating the growing field of the Digital Humanities (DH). The course will give an overview of the questions that have historically driven DH research, the critical debates that have oriented the field, & the new technologies that digital humanists have adopted. The class will not only teach students about new digital techniques for analysis, but will ask them to think deeply about what it means to engage in humanistic inquiry in a networked environment & reflect on the relationship between digital tools & culture, gender, race, & power.
