Emerging Adulthood: Theory and Research
Examines theories & research related to the stage of emerging adulthood. Focus is on theory & research that acknowledges the ways in which context shapes development. Context includes both micro & macro-level influences on emerging adulthood, such as socio-historical, race/ethnicity, gender, & economic conditions. Topics include: historical comparisons of emerging adulthood as well as cultural, ethnic, & gender identity; family & romantic relationships; friendships; & education & career choices.
