• Description: Develops an understanding of the nature of sculpture & the critical dialogue that surrounds it. Assignments explore the conceptual & formal properties of sculpture, & an individual approach is encouraged. Evaluation of current gallery exhibitions & assigned readings will be an important supplement to studio assignments. Students will have regular access to the sculpture shop, where available equipment includes wood & metal tools, as well as plaster & mold-making facilities.
