  • Description: This course interrogates not only the ethics & technical practices of computer hackers & hacking, but it examines more broadly how hackers & hacking have transformed the politics of computing & the Internet more generally. We will pay close attention to how ethical principles are variable represented & thought of by hackers, journalists, & academics & we will use the example of hacking to address various topics on low, order, & politics on the Internet such as: free speech & censorship, computer gaming, privacy & security, & intellectual property.
