Media, Technology and Popular Culture in the Classroom
Professional Development Workshops | Application (pdf)
Dramatic changes in online culture, new dimensions of social networking, and new forms of media distribution are changing the lives of youth, and many teachers need to catch up. Participants in this workshop will learn about the chief technologies and sites driving these changes. They will experiment with social networking, user-generated content, podcasting, and video blogging. Through hands-on experimental activities, they will collaboratively explore ways to integrate these technologies into classroom teaching across secondary curricular areas.
