Art and Art Professions

Information Sessions and Recruitment Events

The Steinhardt Art Department provides many ways for potential students to get a first hand look at our department and programs.

Prospective BFAs: On Campus Events

Portfolio Review Day
We do not participate in National Portfolio Review Day regional events. However,  on November 8, 2014, we invite you to our own Portfolio Day to discuss your work with an NYU faculty member.  You will have the opportunity to meet with current students to learn more about our B.F.A. program, tour the campus, the art department's Barney Building, and Senior Studios at 20 Cooper Square.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

The Art Department holds individual tours and informal information sessions each Friday afternoon during the school year beginning at 3:00pm.

Steinhardt Connection Program
Beginning in March and scheduled once a month on a Friday throughout the spring and summer, Steinhardt invites high school juniors to a pizza lunch and information session, including tours of both the Art Department and the larger campus.

If you can't come to New York - We'll come to you....
