The Visual Arts Administration curriculum consists of 51 credit points, which most students complete over two years. Students are required to complete an internship and a final thesis project.

What sort of internships do students pursue?
VAA students benefit from the vast range of internship opportunities available in New York City. Past internship placements have included, but are not limited to the Museum of Modern Art, Sotheby’s, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Christie’s, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Creative Time, and Art Forum. The VAA department offers two academic courses abroad: Exhibition and Display of Art and Material Culture in London, UK, and Arts Administration in the European Context in the Netherlands and Berlin, Germany.
