Each of the MA Counseling and Guidance Programs prepares the student to sit for the National Certified Counselor exam.
Students may contact the National Board of Certified Counselors for additional information. Students in the School Counseling and Bilingual School Counseling program obtain initial certification by the State of New York upon graduation.
After completing two years of post-master's employment, graduates of the School Counseling Programs can attain permanent certification from the State of New York. Learn more through the American School Counselor Association.
