School Assignments for All Tutors
School assignments for the 2011-2012 school year are now posted for all tutors. If your name is not listed, please send us an email right away.
Instructions for Accessing Your Assignment: Click on the "Tutor Assignments" link to the left, and enter your user name and password to get access to your school assignment. Then look up your assignment by last name at the bottom of this page. If you do not enter your username and password first, you will not be able to see your assignment.

Once you have located your school assignment, click here to get School Directions.
Print out the Teacher Letter and a Work Schedule (or take the copies from your orientation folder or obtain copies from the mailbox at 25 W. 4th Street). Go to the school and ask for the principal or, if there is an America Reads Coordinator listed for your school, ask for the America Reads Coordinator.
DO NOT call to make an appointment. You will be paid for the time that you spend at the school as you arrange your placement.
The Principal or the America Reads Coordinator will assign you to a teacher. Work out a mutually agreeable work schedule with your teacher, have both your teacher and the principal sign it and submit it to the America Reads/America Counts mailbox in the lobby of 25 West 4th Street. Make sure you keep a copy of the work schedule for yourself, and give a copy to your teacher.
Your assignment is based on your assurance to us that you qualify for Federal Work Study this semester. If you do not qualify for Federal Work Study, you may not work in this program and may not accept an assignment. You will not be paid for any work that you do in this program.
No timesheets will be processed unless you have submitted your signed work schedule.
Your America Reads/America Counts school assignment is listed under the first letter of your last name.
