Barbara Kotlikoff has forged a highly successful career that includes experience in both the corporate sector and the not-for-profit sector.
Before joining NYU, Kotlikoff spent eight years at The Paley Center for Media as Vice President of Development where she increased fundraising significantly. She partnered with trustees and industry executives to launch and develop SHE MADE IT: Women Creating Television and Radio, the largest programmatic and fundraising effort in the Paley's history. This project celebrated the achievements of 150 women who made an indelible mark on the media industry and established a digital archive of their programming.
Kotlikoff began her career in the advertising industry and worked for Grey Advertising and Foote Cone and Belding before moving to the client side at Bristol Meyers-Squibb. Her interests in the cosmetics industry led her to join American Cyanamid where she became Senior Vice President of Marketing for Parfums Nina Ricci. Nina Ricci eventually established a free-standing distributorship and Barbara was named President and CEO. Following many successful years working for Nina Ricci, she became Managing Director of Harry Winston, Inc. the renowned jeweler and subsequently joined The Monet Group where she held numerous positions before being promoted to President where she successfully executed a sale of the company to Liz Claiborne.
