Degree Requirements
What follows is an outline of course requirements for your M.A. in Business Education. You and your faculty advisor custom design your program of study. The key to understanding this outline is that a total of 36 credits is required. The total credits must be distributed over four main categories of coursework: Professional Education (9 points), Content (9 points), Specialization (15 points), and Terminal Experience (3 points). The first three categories are self-explanatory and areas of study under each are listed below. The fourth category, Terminal Experience, is an opportunity for you to integrate your coursework via a course evaluating current business literature or an internship.
- Professional Education and Level of Service (Restricted electives; 9 points)
Coursework selected from applied psychology, educational sociology, teaching and learning, higher education, and/or administration and supervision.
- Content (Restricted electives; 9 points)
Content courses may be taken at the Stern School of Business, Tisch School of the Arts, or in NYU Steinhardt in the student's field of specialization. Examples: information systems, organizational behavior, management, marketing, business communications, educational technologies.

Admission Requirements and Procedures
Admission to the M.A. degree requires a bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Business Education, with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Under certain conditions, work experience and a related degree may substitute for the business degree.
