HR DIRECTOR - SALES
JOB DESCRIPTION - Role and Responsibilities
The Human Resources Director will provide regional/global support for various Sales groups. The emphasis of this role will be on strategic Human Resources consultancy and developing strong HR operational capabilities. The role will involve direct and indirect management of a team of HR generalists in multiple locations.
Consult on employee relations matters including individual coaching and career counseling, corrective action process and performance management guidance. Compile and deliver compensation, market rate and staff analyses for upper management, work with line management to formulate accurate job descriptions. Provide guidance on traditional organizational development matters, working closely with the corporate HR designate. Lead and/or facilitate local awareness and skills training programs, e.g. performance management. Provide assistance with international assignees, domestic relocations and visas. Participate in various global Human Resources and business initiatives. Ensure consistent adherence to current HR policies and local/federal employment practices.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS- Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Minimum of 10 years HR Generalist experience, partnering with Sales Divisions within a large, global company, preferably in the financial services or software industry. Prior experience supporting global and regional groups. Experience providing guidance regarding commission plans. Proven ability to interact with senior management and influence outcomes. Strong leadership and management skills. Successful track record in a matrix organization. Tenacious and driven by delivering results. Previous experience balancing strategic and tactical matters in a demanding environment. Ability to be self-sufficient and function with minimum guidance and direction, comfortable working independently and as part of a team of professionals. Strong client service focus and outstanding interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skill in employee relations matters and progressive disciplinary procedures; labor relations a plus. Experience in leading HR projects and initiatives including design/delivery of training programs. Excellent communication skills and detail orientation are essential. Strong PC skills, proficiency in MS Word, Access, Excel and Oracle/HRIS reporting writing skills.. BA/BS or equivalent work experience.

OVERVIEW OF POSITION:
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of all training and OD related initiatives for Brand Headquarters associates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop, deliver and implement new training and leadership development programs
• Gain support from EVP, HR and Executive Committee for leadership development initiatives
• Manage the design, development and implementation of the personal coaching program
• Manage the design, development and execution of multi-rater feedback programs
• Facilitate training sessions for groups of up to 300 participants
• Support succession planning and talent review processes
• Identify, source and manage vendor relationships

• Create, analyze and respond to organizational surveys
• Revise and update existing materials, as needed

REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 5 years experience in curriculum design, development, delivery and evaluation
• Knowledge of organizational development and current HR trends including experience with, but not limited to: 360* assessment, succession management, performance management systems and executive coaching
• Excellent platform and facilitation skills with highly developed engagement techniques
• Proven skills in project management and strategic planning
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with and influence all levels of the organization, including the Executive Committee members
• Demonstrated ability to create and edit training materials
• Excellent communication skills- written and oral
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Previous management and/or operations experience in a big box or specialty retail environment a plus
