Doctoral Candidate Sabra Brock has coauthored Men Head East, Women Turn Right: How to Meet in the Middle When Facing Chang (2004 Adams Media). She co-authored the book with Joseph Dooley, PhD, and developed it as an easy-to-use toolkit for helping people cope with change. Men Head East, Women Turn Right: How to Meet in the Middle When Facing Change explains how the opposite sex reacts to change through stories about real people. This book is the perfect way to improve your relationships, and provides worksheets, quizzes, and assessment tools to guide you.
Ernie Brescia, (MA 1996) is the Chief Learning Officer for Century 21 Real Estate Corporation, based in Parsippany, New Jersey. He has been spearheading various e-learning initiatives, using blended methods of delivery. As an example, Century 21 has delivery of synchronous content as well as a asynchronous content development and delivery platform. They also incorporate offline pieces such as self-study materials, manager coaching of our agents, CD-ROMs with video examples. Some of the accolades they have received from the industry include being three-time recipients of the Training Top 100 award, the 2003 Masie Center Pioneer award, and numerous articles which have been written about them in real estate rags as well as pubs such as Business Week and The Wall Street Journal.
Recent graduate of the MA program, Jennifer Heindel, accepted a position as a Training Coordinator at Nine West Group! She has also accepted a position as an adjunct professor at Metropolitan College of New York teaching Sociology one night a week. She is very excited to be gaining experience in training and teaching at the same time.
Elaine Stone (MA 1976) Professor of Fashion Merchandising Management and former director of the Enterprise Center at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), has been granted emeritus status. Professor Stone will continue to teach a course at FIT, Introduction to the Fashion Industry, for which one of her books, The Dynamics of Fashion, serves as a text.
Anthony Basile (PhD 2003) has received tenure at Hofstra University. He is currently the CO-chair of the Accounting Department at Hofstra.
Juan B Rodriguez (MA 2002) recently joined the faculty at Carroll College in Waukesha, WI (about 20 min west of Milwaukee). Juan teaches undergraduate marketing courses.
