Steinhardt Policy Awareness Program
We have instituted the the Steinhardt Policy Awareness Program (SPAP) to raise awareness of our legal and ethical responsibilities as employees of the University.
All new hires*, including Adjunct Instructors, are required to review the NYU policies listed below. You must then sign the Acknowledgment Form and return it to your department administrator. Click on the following links to view the policies:
- NYU Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and Complaint Procedures for Employees
- NYU Guidelines for Compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Hiring paperwork that fails to include the signed Acknowledgment Form will not be processed.
NYU's Policies and Guidelines page provides centralized access to University-level policies and procedures. You should acquaint yourself with these policies and procedures, including but not limited to: ‘Policy on Photocopying Copyrighted Material,' ‘Preventing Threatening or Violent Behavior in the Workplace,' ‘Substance Abuse and Alcoholic Beverages,' and ‘Contracts, Subpoenas, and Other Legal Matters':
