compressed and stored like memory
trapped in the body
these opaque emotions
quietly propagate and circulate
forming clusters of toxins
condensed pressure points
accidentally exposed seams
a delayed mourning
for the loss
arrested moments of online hiccup
lagging on highspeed
right left right left
my eyes twitching
cramped muscles of the orbit
left right left right
on the shinkansen
trying hard to focus
that yellow car, someone walking
gray buildings, those birds
stuffed in a vacuum of
inert gas and whitenoise
a formless mass of decoys
always on the move
spates of bedbugs
seeping through cracks in the floor, walls,
ceiling and skin
feeding on my blood
swallowed up by waves of itchy puncture
wounds and paranoia
left without an inside
only compatible layers
between legacy code and endless updates
at the edge of spills and bleeds
zeroed out rewriteable storage
cuneiform tablets on standby
shape into concrete form
china hacked into u.s. stealth aircraft operating system
after the hard drive was erased— "no one took a hammer,
and there was no time to make hot coffee"
